Telles, the Egyptian striker who has been a key player for Al-Ahli since his debut in 2015, has revealed that he plans to return to his homeland and join the team's youth system next season.
In a recent interview with Al-Jazeera TV, Telles spoke about his desire to continue playing football in Egypt and how he hopes to help the national team progress towards international competitions.
"I want to play for my country again," Telles said. "I'm not going to leave it until I'm done playing in Egypt."
The 27-year-old has already established himself as one of the best strikers in the league, scoring over 60 goals in 88 appearances for Al-Ahli and helping them to win the Egyptian Premier League title in 2019-2020.
He also played a crucial role in securing victory against Saudi Arabia in the final of the African Nations Cup in 2021.
Telles' experience in Egypt could be invaluable to Al-Ahli, as they look to build on their success from last season and aim to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations next year.
"Al-Ahli is a strong team and we have a lot of talent here," Telles said. "We will do everything we can to support our players and bring them to the highest level of football."
