LUCAS SILVA'S INJURY UPDATE FROM INTER
Inter football club has confirmed that Lucas Silva is currently out for the rest of the season due to an ankle injury sustained in their match against Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday.
The Brazilian striker has been ruled out of action for at least six weeks and is likely to miss the entire campaign.
Silva was injured during a friendly match with Manchester United last month and has been unable to return to training or play for Inter since then. The club has not yet confirmed when he will be able to make a comeback, but they have said that he will need to undergo further tests before making a decision.
The injury is believed to be serious and could mean a long-term absence for Silva. He had previously suffered a knee ligament injury earlier this year and was ruled out for up to three months.
It is expected that Silva will require surgery to repair the damage caused by the injury, which could result in him missing out on key positions in the team. The club has already made some changes to its squad, with midfielder Thiago Alcantara being loaned out to FC Porto until the end of the season.
However, it remains to be seen how long Silva will be out of action and whether he will be able to come back to full fitness. It is hoped that he can return soon enough to contribute to the team's success in the upcoming season.
